Alan offers the following services to investors/VCs:

1. Assessing the attractiveness or otherwise of potential equity investments in early-stage companies
2. Health check / on-the-ground assessment of investee companies post-investment*
3. Interim CEO (in certain limited situations

* This can involve going into the company for a few days or a few weeks to get a true understanding of the people, the processes and the under-the-radar happenings in a company. Often investors, even those that are board directors, are not in a position to see the true people dynamics and strengths & weaknesses of their investee companies because they cannot be with the company day-to-day, and in some cases they may have not have the background or skills or relationship with the company to do the on-the-ground assessment themselves.
